Celsius Smart Cities Workshop- 16th September 2015

MSc Global Sustainable Cities Brochure

The Institute for Future Cities (IFC) has published a new brochure for the MSc Global Sustainable Cities.

WP1 - Coordination and Management

Objectives - The aim of WP1 is sound management of the consortium and the work programme, to ensure that project objectives are met and quality outputs are delivered, within timeframe and budget. The objectives are as follows:

1. Effective communication between the partners, with stakeholders and with the European Commission.

2. Effective administration, financial and risk management systems and implementation of equal opportunity policies within the project.

3. Effective planning and monitoring of the work programme, ensuring that work is carried out in a timely manner, to quality standards, and identifying and dealing with any potential issues.

4. Ensuring the relevance and replicability of the work and deliverables of the project through review by stakeholders.

Description of Work and Role of Partners - The Project Coordinator (PC), the University of Strathclyde; will have the main responsibility for the project's progress and success.

The PC will manage relations between partners, and be responsible for overall management of the work programme, communication with WP leaders, stakeholders and the European Commission, monitoring quality and content. The PC will appoint a Project Manager, administration support, and financial support. Each of the partners will contribute to WP1 through participation in the Project Board (PB) / Management Committee (MC), WP and local coordination meetings, regular communications and provision of information for reporting to the PB and MC, periodic and final reports.
