The Glasgow STEP UP team is looking to engage with and consult Glasgow’s citizens on energy and environmental issues.
Glasgow is currently working towards reducing its carbon emissions by 30% by 2020. As part of this commitment, Glasgow City Council is seeking to engage stakeholders and citizens in a variety of ways to better understand the actions which can be taken city-wide to reduce energy use and improve Glasgow’s environment. This survey gives citizens a chance to have their say on energy, transport, green events, the production of carbon emissions and plans to reduce these in Glasgow. A recent survey consulted businesses and organisations in Glasgow about energy and emissions; this survey seeks to specifically engage Glasgow’s citizens about their individual energy use and environmental concerns.
The results of this survey, along with the previous business and organisations survey will help to inform the development of Glasgow’s new Energy and Carbon Master Plan, influence planning and events for Glasgow’s Green Year in 2015, and support continued action on improving the environment and sustainability by Glasgow City Council.
